Each year we do several fundraisers to raise funds for our studio. Some family favorites are the Popcorn Sale (October), Penny Wars (September), R and K subs (February), and of course our Holiday Show (December)!
There are also smaller fundraisers that upper level classes can choose to participate in to help with the costs of their costumes. For example, our upper level jazz class did a Panera Bread fundraiser to earn money towards their costumes this year.
Where does the money go? Each year we participate in the Hummelstown Halloween Parade which is free for our dancers to participate in. With fundraising, we are able to not only supply all participating dancers with a costume, but also decorate a float to match our theme. The funds are also used to purchase turning boards, therabands, and other equipment for our dancers, provide snacks for the student lounge, costumes and props for our Holiday Show and improve our facilities just to name a few examples.
How can you get involved? Whenever a fundraiser is announced, be sure to read the details to see how you can participate. Several fundraisers involve selling items such as popcorn or candy to friends and family while others are as simple as inviting your loved ones to the Holiday Show. If you’ve been to one of our recent performances, you’ll know that we also sell baked goods and fresh roses during the show which are also fundraisers! There are so many ways to be involved so please sign up for our newsletters to stay up to date!
